In the previous Chapter, the author of Hebrews gave a warning to the church about the danger of unbelief, which led to Israel not being able to enter the Promised Land. In this next Chapter, the writer then reminded Israel that God’s promised rest still stands for those who have reverent fear and remains for those who faithfully follow His Word.
