The resolution encourages member states, UN entities, and stakeholders to support cooperatives by creating enabling environments, raising awareness, and fostering collaboration. Emphasis is placed on the role of cooperatives in driving inclusive development, improving food security, and empowering marginalized communities. The theme for IYC 2025 is "Cooperatives Build a Better World," highlighting the transformative power of cooperation in addressing global challenges. The resolution further invites member states to consider establishing national committees, to plan, stimulate and harmonize the activities of the governmental and non-governmental agencies in preparation for the event.
