As we explore the battle the Israelites took upon themselves, we see that they were placing great faith in their decision making. They focused on their own strength and doing rather than involving God into their pursuits.
God is a gentleman, He will fight for you, but He will not fight you.
Just as the Israelites did, we can turn to our own methods of attack, and leave God, as a last resort.
What happens when we put God first in all things? God’s word tells us that “rest” isn’t a struggle or a difficult task. He freely gives it to all of us, to take hold and follow His lead into green pastures and a peace that surpasses all understanding.

No matter where you are today, or at any point in your journey, God’s rest is and will always be readily available.
