Recorded in October 2000 this short video takes a look at the El Djem Colosseum in Tunisia. Built in the 3rd Century by the Roman Emperor Gordie I, El Djem is the 3rd largest ampitheatre in the world. Unfortuately the ampitheatre was never completed because of political rivalries and the lack of money. Never the less what still stands today is an impressive reminder of the powerful and engineering Romans and their empire.
