We celebrate 30 years of Mortal Kombat in this week's episode of Cerebral Chaos. This game has withstood the test of time through generations and generations of lovers of video games. We take a look at the first game of the series from 1992, talk about why it has become the cultural iconic franchise that it has, being one of the best video games of all time. We have some fun talking through some early memories of hearing and seeing FATALITY flash across the screen for the first time, as I saw Scorpion burn a corpse to a crisp. Lastly, we examine the cultural impact of the game and how it has become apart of pop culture with movies, games and more on the horizon.
