This weekend, I was out at the lake and saw this little boy standing at the water’s edge, holding a rock. You could tell exactly what he wanted – to throw it as far as he could and make the biggest splash. The only problem? He was way too small to make it reach. But his dad saw what was happening, and without saying a word, he picked up a rock too.The little boy pulled back, put all his effort into it, and tossed his rock… about two feet. But at that exact moment, his dad launched his own rock far out into the water. Huge splash. And of course, the little guy lit up – cheering, jumping, the works.And I just stood there thinking, That’s exactly what God does for us.
