The last article from the first issue of Butter! To this day I am still so incredibly grateful for all of the amazing athletes that took the time to talk to me two years ago. I had no website for them to check, no credibility to fall back on. And we're here today because they all decided to give me and Butter a chance. I was particularly surprised Amelia was open to interviewing. She is still a very busy woman, running a whole non-profit that constantly works to make more space for everyone in the sport. She was an absolute pleasure to talk to, and I still feel so lucky for such an influential figure in women's skateboarding gifting me her time.
