Listen "New York regulators weigh $200M in discounts"
Episode Synopsis
New York’s utility regulators are trying to figure out how to distribute $200 million in tax money allocated in the state budget to ease consumers’ gas and electric bills. The money could be distributed as a small discount to all residential customers or allocated entirely to low-income households as a larger discount. The money, part of an effort to offset increased gas and electric bills in the state, was announced by Gov. Hochul in May.
