Xie Lian’s divine statue finally defeats Jun Wu’s fiery giant using a sword forged from the three mountain spirits of mount tonglu. When they search the remains of the heavenly capital for traces of Jun Wu, they only find Guzi and Qi Rong in the form of a small ghost fire. Qi Rong sacrifices himself to save Guzi, and then disappears. The guoshi says that he knows where Jun Wu might have gone, and leads Xie Lian, Hua Cheng, and Mu Qing to mount tonglu.
