Feng Xin and Mu Qing cause an avalanche that drops them, along with Xie Lian and Hua Cheng, into the cave of ten thousand gods. Feng Xin and Mu Qing find Hua Cheng acting strangely, so they separate Xie Lian from him. They discover from the statues and paintings in the cave that Hua Cheng has been following Xie Lian for 800 years and was the small child that fell during the god pleasing parade. They tell Xie Lian that Hua Cheng’s actions and intentions are evil, but Xie Lian doesn’t believe them and still trusts Hua Cheng.
