Hua Cheng is strongly affected by the opening of Mount Tong’lu, and Xie Lian is forced to suck his excess spiritual energy out to help calm him down. During the chaos, Qi Rong runs away with Guzi and threatens to send Hua Cheng’s enemies after him now that he is weak. The next day Hua Cheng can’t remember what happened, and Xie Lian lies that they fought until he calmed down. They decide to part ways for the time being to focus on dealing with Mount Tonglu. In heaven, Jun Wu assigns a task to Xie Lian and Quan Yizhen to capture the escaped Brocade Immortal. Xie Lian returns to Puqi Shrine and buys an old robe for Lang Ying on his way home.
