Xie Lian, Hua Cheng, Shi Qingxuan, and Ming Yi are transported to the city of Fugu by the Reverend of Empty Words. There, they witness a Bloody Fire Social, that is celebrating the Scholar He Sheng who murdered a group of evil townspeople after a life of unfair injustice. Xie Lian suspects Ming Yi of being the Reverend in disguise, and comes up with a game to test him. Ming Yi, however, passes the test and is discovered to be innocent. They are about to discuss what to do next, when a group of villagers storm the temple during the night parade.
