Blackup is a collective of djs dedicated to spread the different styles of Jamaican music. Born in 2002 and Initially known as a reference crew in the foundation/oldies styles, they now move with the same ease in all the musical types of Jamaican music, playing also african and UK tunes in his explosive shows. With a crew made up of three generations of experienced selectors & mc’s, Blackup is one of the most veteran sounds in Spain and has been performing regularly throughout the country -and sometimes in European venues- for more than 18 years. Blackup has also been responsible for the promotion of several regular dancehall & reggae parties in Barcelona over the last two decades and has shared the stage with the best Jamaican artists and sounds in the genre.
