This week at Compass Worship we continued our journey through the book of Jonah. In Jonah 3 we are reminded that we serve a God of second chance, and with every second chance we have a choice. Jonah choose to listen and obey God by going to Ninevah proclaiming God's message. The Ninevities when they heard God's message through Jonah, choose to repent and turn away from their evil and wicked ways. We also have a choice to make every time God speaks to us whether through His Word, His people, His creation, His Holy Spirit, we can choose to obey, or continue in the direction away from Him. God in His ultimate goodness and graciousness desires all will choice to turn toward Him and repent. We saw through Jonah 3 that when we repent God relents.
