The voice of the society that looks down upon people with mental disorder is like that of a middle aged aunty that judges every person with a mental illness. This voice has made a home in our heads and is constantly trying to convince us that we aren't good enough. The stigma is so bad that when someone asks "are you okay" we want to say "no I am not" but we don't. In ayu OK we cut the small talk and have a tough chat with this nagging, irritating and judgmental aunty sitting inside our heads. From anxiety to depression to heartbreak to self destructive behavior to grief, through vulnerable and honest stories of a single woman living in a big city, we de stigmatize topics related to mental health while opening up a bigger question to the audience: Ayu ok?
