Can the Prime Minister decide to extend their term past 3 years? Can they just choose not to call an election? What if they just refuse? Well, let me go over all the various constitutional and legal ways that it's not actually the Prime Minister's decision - even though we've grown accustomed to them being the one who picks the date of the election.
