Listen "TBH Skincare: Can employees refuse to be in their company's social media?"
Episode Synopsis
In today's episode, we discuss a video that recently went viral on TikTok and caused QUITE the debate online. TBH Skincare, an Australian-owned skincare brand, hopped onto a trend and just happened to have their video end up on the wrong side of the internet.
The comments were frankly, disgusting and misogynistic, but the team clapped back by redoing the trend and reading out the nasty comments. It worked wonders for them, with more people discussing their brand than ever before.
We discuss:
Lack of credibility given to marketing, particularly when it comes to female-led brands and companies
Should employees be expected to participate in content?
What laws should be made to protect employees from online harassment and bullying?
Having your life online means anyone can find out anything about you, pretty much at any given time! Is this simply becoming normal, or should we be taking a step back?
As always, we want to hear your thoughts! Let us know what you think by sending us a DM on Instagram or commenting on any of our posts (with nice comments only, obviously).
Now, you know what I am about to say and I am NOT going to go into a song and dance today because I am hungry and I need to make dinner and I can't concentrate. So, if you want to be crowned the hottest person alive, all you need to do is
