In late 2021 Cody decided it was time to quit his job of 8 years at a ship yard when he was forced to choose between complying with his companies standards, or shaving his face. He constructed an email to all of the employees: To whom it may concern:"After eight years of devoted employment I have concluded that I deserve to work in an environment where my beard is valued.
