Having a crush is fun, exciting, refreshing. But when we get infatuated with someone, it’s NOT! Especially when you are self aware. Because infatuation is not real! They’re not true feelings. It could be an obsession or might be an attachment. And it usually lasts for about 4 months or so. This is also the “honeymoon phase” where everything is exciting. You need time to understand your feelings. It fluctuates. Stop creating the character in your mind that they are perfect! Stop creating their characteristics made in your head based on your selected criteria. They’re not perfect and same goes to you. Once you like someone, take your sweet time being friends with them. Allow them to be vulnerable at their own time to see who they truly are. But before even thinking about this person or getting into a relationship, reflect, dive deep and see if you are repeating an old toxic pattern of attracting same toxic partners.
