Listen "RACIAL INJUSTICE"
Episode Synopsis
Racial Injustice - A problem in sports, our schools, and our communities throughout the country. My perspective on the problem, and a suggestion worth trying to work on addressing racial injustice in a more productive manner.Update (11/23 @ 12:08am) - A short while ago, the incident I started off this episode with, involving MSU hockey player Jagger Joshua and an Ohio State hockey player, has been addressed and properly handled by OSU Athletic Director, Gene Smith. Not only did he publicly apologize to Joshua, he also announced that the OSU player responsible for the racial slurs is going back home, and is no longer a part of the Ohio State hockey team. Additionally, Smith stated, "I have met with the men's hockey team and will be meeting with them again soon to discuss our values. The team will complete education on racial sensitivity, diversity, equity, inclusion and the use of respectful dialog." In my opinion, this update of circumstances is a pleasant reminder that change IS possible and CAN be achieved.(Originally recorded/released as a video-cast)If you enjoyed this episode, or any previous episodes, I encourage you to show your support by following/liking/subscribing to my podcast and sharing with your friends and family!
