Dawn DeStefani has worked in the Health & Human Services field for over 15 years. She is the Director of Programs and Services for the George G. Glenner Alzheimer’s Family centers in Chula Vista. Dawn is multilingual and facilitates a support group for family caregivers preparing them for the challenges of caring for a loved one with Dementia. The George G. Glenner Alzheimer’s Family Centers have provided adult day care and other support services to help San Diego County families caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of memory impairment for 30 years. As a non-profit organization, our mission is to help families through quality day programs, family support groups, referrals, case management, crisis intervention, education and advocacy. We help family members in transition maintain some independence as they move along the path.
