Nobody else has that expressive but urgent quality that informs his vocal performances and has helped make songs like "(What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love & Understanding" such monumental achievements. Secondly, he's the most stylistically diverse artist this side of David Bowie. He's tackled every genre from punk and reggae to classical and jazz. Over the years, Elvis has worked with some of the best musicians, producers and songwriters on Earth. This "Elvis-verse" or the Elvis Costello Universe is the subject of today's podcast.
