SERMON NOTES:· God made you to be joyfully generous.· Generosity is about your soul, not your wallet.· God wants you to be generous because he wants something for you, not something from you.· 2 Corinthians 9:6: 6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.· To get a harvest you must plant the seed.· The more you plant, the more you harvest.· The more you give (sow), the more you receive (reap).· Generosity gives greater grace.· Following Jesus will make your life better and make you better at life.· 7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.· Give what you have decided to give.· Heavenly Father, show me what it means for me to be generous.· Give what you decide to give.· Resist outside agendas.· For God loves a cheerful giver.· You feel better about yourself, your life, and walk with Jesus when you are generous!· 8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. 9 As it is written:“They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor; their righteousness endures forever.”· God bless you so you can be generous.· All things, all times, all sufficient.· Only in heaven will you know the impact of your generosity.· 10 Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.· Be generous with what God gives you.· Spend less than you make. Save. Avoid debt. Be generous.
