Sermon Notes:· Are you living in the power of the Spirit?· As a church, are we living in the power of the Spirit?· Acts 8:4 - 4 Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went.· The Spirit gives courage.· A Church of joy has courage.· Acts 8:5 -5 Philip went down to a city in Samaria and proclaimed the Messiah there.· The Spirit leads us to break barriers.· A Church of joy breaks barriers.· Acts 8:6-7 - 6 When the crowds heard Philip and saw the signs he performed, they all paid close attention to what he said. 7 For with shrieks, impure spirits came out of many, and many who were paralyzed or lame were healed.· The Spirit is greater than evil and brings healing.· We came to believe a power greater than ourselves could deliver us.· Do you pray for God to heal you? Do you pray for God to drive out the evil in you?· A Church of joy drives out evil and brings healing.· Acts 8:8 - 8 So there was great joy in that city.· The Spirit brings joy.
