In 2014, Lesley embarked on a journey of self-awareness.  A Mom of 3, working full-time and managing the household schedules, she felt herself drowning physically and emotionally.  She had spent 17 years in a social work career focusing her energy on helping others and was being shown the signs that it was time to focus that energy inwards.
She began a practice of meditation, and enrolled herself in the 25 hour Learn to Teach Meditation Program, Learn to Teach Kids and Teens and the 200 hour Teaching Training.  As she began to find a stillness within her, the messages of spirit began to get clearer for her.  She was led to Usui Reiki and for the first time, energy healing, daily practice of reiki and meditation, and allowing herself to open up to all possibilities.
She was led to her teacher Pete Bernard, of the 8th Fire.  She enrolled in the Earning the Light Program of self-healing, that changed her life.  For years she had spent her life taking responsibility for others healing, and she was learning to focus that attention back on herself.  Healing the thoughts, patterns, behaviours and limited beliefs she had created to meet her need for safety.  This journey has transformed her world, relationships and her perception of herself.  It has opened endless possibilities of living a life of purpose, allowing herself to open up to her vulnerabilities, leave her comfort zone and live a life with awareness.
