Welcome to episode 6 of YOU DON'T KNOW. This episode is based on a long walk which Lizzy and David took from the former site of High Beech psychiatric hospital in Epping Forest. Using the poet John Clare's residence at High Beech as a starting point, they walk and talk about their own thoughts and feelings around what walking means to them. The episode features field recordings made during the walk interwoven with the poem which Lizzy wrote in response to the walk. This episode is accompanied by a handmade concertina book, featuring a typewritten poem based on the walk, which can be bought in our shop. A full episode transcript can be downloaded here.
