Hebrew 12:5-12. We believe the lie that discipline is only punishment and confuse challenge with harm. But God's shows us to embrace discipline and challenges as a form of God's love. Similar problems lies we believe is that discipline is incompatible with love, we trade what we want most for what we want now, and we abandon things that delight us when they require discipline. The truth of God in Scripture is that God is not here to punish us, but to help us reach our full potential. His discipline allows us to trade what we want now for what we want most, and embracing discipline develops delight in us.
