Listen "Know About Sleep Apnea Symptoms and Causes"
Episode Synopsis
Breathing regularly stops and begins during sleep is known as sleep apnea, a potentially dangerous sleep disease. You might have sleep apnea if you snore loudly and still feel exhausted after a full night's sleep. The three main types of sleep apnea are complex, central, and obstructive. The more prevalent type of sleep apnea caused by relaxed throat muscles is called obstructive sleep apnea. Your brain's failure to properly communicate with the breathing muscles during sleep results in central sleep apnea. When someone has both central and obstructive sleep apnea, a condition called complex sleep apnea syndrome, also known as treatment-emergent central sleep apnea, develops.
