CAREERS IN SOCIAL IMPACT SERIES: Beginning Years in Social Impact CareersPlease join us for the first in our "Careers in Social Impact" webinar series as we hear from two Yalies about how they entered the social impact space and share their tips and tricks. Liz Dunn '10 is the Resource Development Director for Mercy Housing Lakefront, which develops and operates affordable, program-enriched housing for low-income families, seniors, and people with special needs. Liz started her career with a year of service as an AmeriCorps VISTA member at Sarah’s Circle, a small homeless service organization serving women in Chicago. Liz brings a social work approach to her leadership role in philanthropy and holds an AM from the University of Chicago Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice.Israel Tovar '17 (he/him) currently teaches World History II and AP World History in Washington D.C. Prior to working with families and communities in DC, Israel taught middle school U.S. History in Nashville, Tennessee, Mexican American History in San José, California, and has been a Lead Instructor for the Yale Young Global Scholars Program in New Haven, Connecticut. He earned a Master in Education from Stanford University and a BA in Ethnicity, Race, and Migration from Yale University where he graduated cum laude and with distinction in the major.
