Dedrick Asante-Muhammad is the President of the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies, who has dedicated his career to understanding and tackling racial and economic inequities, which has included overseeing fair lending and housing at the National Community Reinvestment Coalition starting the Racial Economic Equity Department and worked at many of the nation’s top national non-profit advocacy organizations.

He joined Dr. Peterson to discuss the impacts of the government shutdown, especially in relation to Black communities.
