What was it like for Jesus in the last week of his life? He knew that he was heading to Jerusalem to die, according to God’s plan of redemption. So, what did he do? How did He act? How did He stay focused? What can we learn from Jesus? We will touch on these things over the next few weeks leading up to Easter, as we follow Jesus to the cross. We begin today with Jesus’ resolute determination to lead the way into Jerusalem. He, again, told his disciples what would happen to him, and we note their response. They were astonished and afraid but really don’t get it because they ask for places of power and influence.
