Listen "Tech Tuesday: "One Rulebook""
Episode Synopsis
ABC News Technology Reporter Mike Dobuski talks about how on Monday, President Trump re-iterated his intention to create "One Rulebook" for regulating artificial intelligence, adding he'll be signing an executive order to that effect this week. The move would overrule the growing number of AI regulations passed at the state level, which the president says will help American AI companies better compete on the global stage. But many in Trump’s base oppose the idea and previously worked to strip similar ideas out of legislation in Congress earlier this year. Also, in recent weeks, Apple has been rocked by several high-profile departures, affecting the iPhone-maker's design, legal, and artificial intelligence departments. Some are retiring, but others are jumping to competing Big Tech firms like Meta.
