The entire prequel is set on the beautiful planet Cybertron, which has a cyberpunk aesthetic. Sentinel Prime is the lone remaining warrior who battles the hostile Quintessons after the rest of their best warriors vanished. He is searching for the Matrix of Leadership at the same time. The remaining Transformers are engaged in mining operations to extract their life force, or "Energon." D-16 and Orion Pax are two of these miners. In addition, Orion Pax is searching for the Matrix and unintentionally brings D-16 along on a variety of escapades. The narrative gets off to a disorganized start, using a lot of phrases and titles without providing much context. It's still unclear exactly what the Quintesson war is about. It's still only a guess, too.
