ALL Decades & GENERATIONS
Family. The word can bring smiles and feelings of all nature.  At this stage of life  I have one brother, Tony, who has two children, April and Byron, and a grandchild - my great-nephew, Aiden who is 4. We have cousins across the world, including Florida, Pennsylvania and California.
I feel very fortunate to have grown up knowing my grandparents on my father's side and even my great grandmother on my mother's side of the family.  Connecting with generations from infants to as high as I can go brings me such joy. 
I also really love celebrating the family we call friends. This weekend I had the pleasure of not only celebrating a friend and sister in silence, Susan Kelley- Delaine, I got to meet her parents! What a blessing to have your family and your parents to celebrate with you.  I truly miss mine.
Mr. & Mrs. Delaine were gracious hosts and we listened to soul music in the basement surrounded by memories of Susan growing up with her sister and brother and so many others. I also got to see a few other friends I hadn't seen since before the pandemic. The menu was Korean food so I got to try new dishes and had the most delightful time laughing, eating, dancing, singing and being filled with JOY.
The Delaines said I was invited back, so I must have behaved. I look forward to seeing their roses blooming in the summer, eating more kimchee and laughing in the basement.
Spending time with multiple generations makes me appreciate my life at a deeper level. Being around Susan's parents and her father-in- love (law) - Mr. Kelley was just the JOY I didn't know I needed. I am so grateful.
I strive to know people in all decades, toddlers to centenarian (100 years or older). So far I am connected with toddlers, teens, and people in their 20 - 80's.
