Listen "Uresta- a self managed tool for stress incontinence"
Episode Synopsis
In this episode, I talk to Lauren Barker about uresta, an incontinence pessary. Uresta is available in the US with a prescription but it is designed to be fitted and managed at home (they're working on making it OTC in the US like it is in Canada). While it may look uncomfortable, most women do not find it to be so and find it easy to use. Studies have shown that around 90% of women have improvement in their leaks and 90% were still using it after 12 months. Uresta can be worn for up to 24 hours. It is recommended to get a new one annually. The initial starter kit is 139$ and a replacement pessary is 89$. They don't have discounts but often have sales on Black Friday, Mother's Day and International Women's Day.Check out more here: https://myuresta.com/
