Lu Chekowsky is an Emmy Award winning writer, editor, and creative director. You've seen her work in Details Magazine, Time Out New York, MTV, Comedy Central, Nike and other major brands. She shares her story of losing her own creative voice after the death of her mother and how an ad in The Onion catapulted her into an hugely successful career in advertising. Lu is currently doing a fundraiser for Tupelo Press, an independent, literary press devoted to discovering and publishing works of poetry, literary fiction, and creative nonfiction by emerging and established writers. She is writing 30 poems a day in the for the month of November.
