Be You

Episode Synopsis

Be You.In this episode we talk about the importance of standing for what you believe and value. Creating a podcast, in which we think through our beliefs, presents the challenge to step outside of our comfort zone. We discuss our individual beliefs and reflect on any internal and external judgement that these are met with. One question is, does having firm beliefs make you rigid and narrow minded? But if we don’t subscribe to anything, do we stand for nothing? Science observes the world and comes up with natural laws that are able to be tested with experiment. Would it be helpful to explore the world we find ourselves in and construct standards that are relevant, personal and just as evolving as we are? Having spiritual standards can seem rigid but a brief observance of the world tells us that God is not so. Why, for example, are there so many different coloured and patterned fish?  :-) God is fresh, ever-moving and dynamic. So perhaps, there is a place for order, wisdom and rules to abide by but there is also a place for us to be free and explore. It's a good one, we hope you enjoy it and as always, thank you for joining our conversation.  Hosted on Acast.
