The New Testament requires evangelists to point out false teachers and the false doctrine they propagate as well as those who incite unnecessary controversy. They are to command and teach the gospel according to the authority contained in the New Testament, contending for it without the slightest exception. The evangelist has duties to the called out body as a group and to individual members of it. Those duties are discussed. Finally, his duties to those who are lost are noted.
