Most of us may not be aware, but as long as we’re sexually active, there’s a pretty high chance 80% of us have this silent virus that can lie dormant in our bodies for years and years. HPV, short for human papillomavirus, doesn’t just affect women. With over 100 strains of HPV, they aren't all lethal, but certain ones can cause cervical, anal, vaginal, and vulva cancers. 
How can we bring down the numbers? Is there a way we can protect ourselves and our sons and daughters from it? Obstetrician and gynaecologist Dr Dharsh shares her knowledge, and explains why condoms aren’t good enough, and why celibacy may not spare you from this virus.
