Dr. Klapper opens his show with today's theme of storytelling. He is looking at people who were able to be successful in 2 different careers because of their storytelling skills. Kobe Bryant is the example in sports because he not only won championships but he won an Oscar for his animated short film "Dear Basketball". Trisha Yearwood is the example in music because she is successful in country music and in the culinary world. The Local Yoke is a restaurant in Manhattan Beach known for its jalapeño hash. Doc got the recipe from the owner and tells the story of the hash. Doc gives some "Klapper Vision" about Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper and his ulnar collateral ligament injury that led him to have recent Tommy John surgery.
