Listen "Planning for the Worst: How to Keep Our Communities Safe From Toxic Spills"
Episode Synopsis
Right now, the majority of the country has no plan in place for storm related toxic chemical leaks. Luckily, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has proposed a new regulation called the Worst Case Discharge Rule to require chemical storage facilities to create a plan for discharges that are created by storm events. Today to discuss this topic, we are joined by Maya Nye, Federal Policy Director for Coming Clean, and Sean Jackson, Water Programs Coordinator for Clean Water Action. www.cleanwater.org/podcast Support our podcast here
