Listen "Ginger Barker- Reducing The Stigma Of Therapy In The Military"
Episode Synopsis
Today I am speaking with Ginger Barker, a therapist at Soul Space in Tucson, AZ. Since 1998, Ginger had experience living in and supporting the military community. Current and former military personnel and their loved ones experience hardships and unique issues specific to military life. Deployment, PCSing, stress, and uncertainty about last-minute change in orders, transitioning, retirement, isolation, parenting, and finances are just a few of the common struggles. We discuss the stigma of reaching out for mental health support, how to break through the stigma and why the families of military personnel need support too. If you are in AZ, you can & schedule a consult with Ginger: https://soulspacetucson.com/aboutourtherapists/ginger/
