With Coronavirus bearing down on our population and occupying so much of our minds, I am reminded of another contagious disease the world faced many years ago. Polio frightened humanity and carried with it much the same symptoms as COVID-19. Leading to death and paralysis in so many, the spread of Polio caused the world to upend their everyday lives in hopes of avoiding the illness.In our library we have two storytellers who will set the scene for you from the late 1940's and early 1950's. Those over 70 will be reminded of the fear they experienced and how humanity dealt with this horrible epidemic.We would like to hear from you concerning your memories.
