Episode Synopsis

The origin of the legend can be traced back to Greece, where there was a belief in the existence of mermaids, beings who seduced men with a beautiful song. However, mermaids for the Greeks were part woman and part bird. The fish form of the mermaid only appeared in Portugal, around the 15th century.
