Something that inspired me to begin this Value Add project was the understanding that each one of us, all people, are made in the image of God. In Genesis 1 God creates and it climaxes with humanity as created to create with God. Another continual concept I keep running back to is the tension between what seems to be a driving force in my life: to lead or become a great leader. I have this desire, but in Scripture and throughout my sitting at the feet of wise people (Henri Nouwen's writings come to mind) I am convicted that perhaps we are called to follow the Way and not be or lead the way.
