Utah opened their season against UCLA, coming off of 2 straight years where the lack of production on offense (mostly due to injuries) was a serious problem. To address that they brought in an OC and a quarterback who designed and executed the 4th best offense in all of College Football last season in Jason Beck and Devon Dampier. With that they hoped to showcase a new era and a new level of production against the Bruins at the Rose Bowl.
