Episode Synopsis
Carmen currently works as an Assistant Director of Employer Engagement & Internship Development for the Career and Professional Development Center at the University of Utah. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Art Education and Art Technology and Master's Degree in Education Leadership and Policy, both from the U. During her Master’s Degree Carmen worked for the Dean of Students Office as a graduate assistant for student conduct and policy. From that experience she learned that she wanted to worked more closely with students which led to her interest in applying for a career coach position with the Career and Professional Development Center. After a year and a half of career coaching she was promoted to her current position where she now builds partnerships with employers to generate meaningful student internship opportunities.
