Seth Vertelney brings you the latest American women’s soccer news with Goal.Laura Harvey is back in the NWSL and back with OL Reign. Harvey will leave her position as U.S. Under-20 head coach to return to the club she coached for five years – back when they were known as the Seattle Reign. Harvey replaces former head coach Farid Benstiti, who left the club after a poor start to the 2021 season.She will join OL Reign following the Olympics, where she is serving as an assistant for the U.S. women’s national team. In other NWSL coaching news, Casey Stoney has been appointed as the first head coach of San Diego NWSL, who will begin play as an expansion side next year. Stoney joins after leaving Manchester United, a club she helped build into a Women’s Super League power during her time in charge. San Diego NWSL will unveil their official name, colors and crest in the near future.
