“The patients who use statins had longer overall survival, longer prostate cancer-specific survival, and a trend towards longer time before they became castration resistant,” Hamilton says in discussing the European Urology study, “The Association Between Statin Use and Outcomes in Patients Initiating Androgen Deprivation Therapy,” for which he served as a study author.
