Listen "Renters Regret Taking Covid Deals"
Episode Synopsis
It’s been said that in New York City, you’re always looking for either a job or an apartment. After some residents left the city during covid lockdown, the people who stayed were offered lower rents by landlords eager to fill their apartments. But while the pandemic hasn’t ended, the brief era of slightly cheaper New York City rent is now over for most renters. Reporter Sarah Yokubaitis has more on the renters desperately searching for a deal.
